Teaching

Dr. Chang-Dae Ham has been invited to present his research and creative endeavors in a variety of occasions.  He was the opening keynote speaker at Digital Marketing Summit (DMS) Korea, the theme of which was "Meet the Future of Marketing." Dr. Ham's presentation, "Data, Technology, and Digital Advertising Ecosystem in 2020: Changes, Challenges, and Opportunities," focused on current issues in consumer privacy, government regulations, and their impacts on shaping the future of the advertising ecosystem (see the photo above).

DMS Korea is the biggest and the most influential marketing conference in Korea, featuring innovative industry experts from many countries as session speakers, such as CMOs in GM, Lego, Nike, Burger King, Nestle, and Volvo. In DMS Korea 2020, more than 1,000 industry experts from marketing, information technology, media, and advertising participated.

Teaching Experience

The central tenet of Dr. Ham's teaching is creating an interactive learning environment where students are major players through active engagement and voluntary participation. Dr. Ham's primary role is to evoke students’ intellectual curiosity, encourage them to actively participate in the learning process, and guide them to achieve the learning objectives. The core of successful learning is students’ intrinsic motivation and enthusiastic attitudes. Thus, the environment helps students realize that authentic learning is not just achieved by the professor’s knowledge but also by their voluntary engagement in the learning process. In order to create such an environment, Dr. Ham has learned, developed, and applied effective skills and methods tailored to each level from undergraduate to graduate to professional.
